MATTHEW SHELL is an acclaimed music producer, audio engineer, guitarist, and pianist from Bethesda, MD. His production styles include alternative jazz, chill afrobeat, pop, rock, R&B, and soothing instrumental music.
Matthew Shell’s long associated with NARKED RECORDS dates back to the 2013 that saw Shell’s’ first collaboration with Arun Shenoy which resulted in the release of jazz single titled GENESIS. Shenoy and Matthew Shell have collaborated with DJ Domscott for a House Music remix of their single GENESIS. The remix was released in 2014, a year after the original.
Shell was a member of the Contemporary Jazz group THE GROOVE PROJECT for the second full length album titled VOLUME 1: FLIGHTS OF FANTASY in 2020. Shell has subsequently embarked on a Smooth Jazz collaboration with Arun Shenoy that resulted in 2 full length albums, ELEMENTAL (2022) and DESTINATIONS (2024). Both albums were released in stereo and Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 Immersive Audio formats. As part of a Coffee House series of jazz singles with Shenoy, Shell has released 2 singles, GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE and STROLL ALONG THE RIVIERA, both in 2022
